I Sold My Bicycle
A chapter has ended, I sold my bicycle π°π«‘ Lately, I've been catching cold after every bike ride due to the wind and sweat, so I decided it would be best to stop my cycling adventures. Whether this was the right decision, I'm not sure, but I've been contemplating selling my bike for a while. On Thursday, I rode my bicycle to the station for the last time and handed it over to the buyer. I got $150, while the original price I paid at the store for the bike was $600.
Final Bike Statistics Over 3 Years π²
-
Trips: 305
- Purchase date: 2023.04.23
- I averaged two trips per week.
-
Tire Changes:
- Front tire - 1 change, just replaced the inner tube.
- Back tire - 1 change, same as above.
- Expenses: Approximately $670
-
Earnings: $944
- Trips: $794
- Sale: $150
πΉProfit: $274
The bike served me well - it never broke down and performed smoothly.
I recorded $274 as profit, but honestly saying I made a real profit from the bike would be a stretch π€π In my own opinion, I broke even: what I gained, I lost π₯΅
Lessons Learned:
Looking back, here are some things that could have improved my biking experience:
- If you live in a hilly area - consider buying an electric bike β‘
- When buying a bike, wait for a discount or sale and don't pay full price πΈ
-
Dress appropriately. If it's cold right away, go back inside
and change π§οΈ
- Wear windproof clothing in the colder months π
-
Do lighter workouts in larger quantities rather than one
intense workout π Avoid overdoing it
- Long, slow workouts are better than short, intense ones.
-
Make sure your feet are aligned properly on the pedals,
without twisting
- Wear knee pads
-
Don't ride when sleepy π΄
- Ride when alert π
- Avoid riding on wet tram tracks ππ¦
And that's the tale of my bike.
- Bike sold π² Post completed π
- Scooter accepted π΄ Post in progress π
