In 7 days, I have a driving test for a car. Driving has its challenges: I sometimes miss road signs. There are two reasons for this:

• I'm tall, and the car's roof is low. What's above doesn't come into view.
• When turning, I look at the road to make sure I turn correctly. In doing so, I don't always spare a glance for the road signs that are directly at the turnoff.

I generally spot most road signs. But to fail the test, it's enough to miss just one road sign. And these signs are everywhere — hundreds and thousands of them in cities. So the likelihood of missing a sign multiplies many times over 🥵.
