There are two news items: one good and one bad.
Good News: I passed the car theory exam successfully ✅
I took the official exam (of course, on my electric scooter). I got 0 out of 30 questions wrong. Next week, I plan to try to book a driving practice session.
Bad News: My electric scooter was attempted to be stolen 😤
Some kids decided to steal my electric scooter. The motor wheel was locked, but it didn't stop them. A girl around 13 years old pulled the scooter towards a tram stop, while a boy of roughly the same age whispered from behind some bushes, "Why are you taking so long?" I saw this, jumped over the fence, and ran to retrieve my scooter. I was able to stop the theft, but now my fear of falling off the scooter (I've already fallen) is compounded by the fear that someone might steal it from me. It seems an electronic lock isn't enough. I need to always chain my scooter to a pole 🔗.
If I had noticed the theft just one minute later, I would have been without a scooter right now. This incident has really upset me. I wonder what they planned to do with my scooter later? After all, there's no easy way to bypass the electronic lock. You need to disassemble the scooter piece by piece and know exactly what you're doing.
