There are two news items: one good and one bad.
Good news: I successfully passed my car theory driving exam ✅
I went to the official exam (rode there, of course, on an electric scooter). I got 0 errors out of 30 questions. Next week, I’m going to try to sign up for practical driving practice.
Bad news: someone tried to steal my electric scooter 😤
Some kids decided to haul off my electric scooter. The motor wheel was locked, but that didn’t stop them. A girl about 13 years old dragged the scooter toward a tram stop, while a boy of about the same age from the bushes told her, “What are you taking so long for?” I saw it, jumped over the fence, and ran to get my scooter back. I managed to stop the theft, but now my fear of falling off the scooter (I’ve already fallen before) has been joined by the fear of having it stolen. It seems an electronic lock isn’t enough. I need to always chain my scooter to a pole 🔗
If I had noticed the theft just one minute later, I would have been without a scooter now. This incident really upset me. I wonder what they were planning to do with my scooter? After all, there is no easy way to bypass an electronic lock. You would have to take the scooter apart piece by piece and actually know what you’re doing.
