Good evening. It's time to write my weekly report.
There are two news: good and bad.
- Good news: I've already reached 800 kilometers on my electric scooter according to the built-in odometer. That means soon I'll hit 1,000 kilometers, and we can celebrate that!
- Bad news: I watched a video about electric scooters, and learned that after 1,000 kilometers, they usually need maintenance as different parts start to wear out and break. However, I don't know how to do that.
Now, the stats:
-
Bike.
🚲 Total trips: 262
- Trips this week: +1
- Estimated earnings over time: $750
-
Scooter.
🛴 Total trips: 99
- Trips this week: +5
- Estimated earnings over time: $183
Last week was filled with these adventures:
-
💻
I commuted to the office on my scooter every day.
- 10 kilometers each way.
- I bring the scooter inside the office to charge it.
- A one-way trip across the city takes 40 minutes.
- Electric scooters go faster, but tired cyclists on traditional bikes move slower.
-
🌳
There was also an interesting ride to another city in the forest on my scooter, via train.
- As I wrote in a previous post, riding the train with a scooter is a risky business. You can enjoy the trip or get stuck in a crowd of people - it's all up to luck. Last week, there were many people eager to ride my train, and five bikes fit into my carriage. It was quite cramped.
That's all for now. I'm curious to see if I'll be able to reach 1,000 km and beyond on the scooter. With daily commutes to the office, the kilometers add up quickly.
